نفت وزارة العدل أن يكون من صلاحيتها أخذ الزكاة على الأراضي البيضاء، أو اقتراح ذلك، أو أنها تتوقع انخفاض أسعار الأراضي أو زيادتها. وقالت مصادر خاصة في وزارة أن مثل هذه الأمور ليست من اختصاصها.
وأكدت الوزارة في الوقت ذاته على أهميه تحري الدقة في نشر مثل تلك التصريحات الإعلامية حتى لا تتخذ وسيلة لتحقيق أهداف خاصة.
